If you haven’t been following the anime scene there are some fantastic seasonal anime coming out right now. Among those is the long-awaited anime adaptation of The Pomised Neverland. So far it looks like the anime will be a 1 core (12 episode) anime with possible future seasons on the way after.
The Promised Neverland is a fantastic manga written by Kaiu Shirai. It follows children that were raised in an orphanage as they learn new things about the world that surrounds them. The anime features 3 well portrayed main characters who are all ahead of their peers in natural ability. All their lives they are raised by a woman known to them only as their mother. When the children turn 12 they are sent away from the orphanage to an unknown location. The anime is full of mystery and keeps the audience guessing just as the manga does.
Without getting too much in to the anime for spoiler-spoiling reasons the new episodes are set to air via simulcast on Crunchyroll every week on Thursdays at 9:35 a.m. PST with the dub probably being released later some time on that same day. The anime itself is set to air 12 episodes for season 1 and initial reviews are very good so far. The anime has a very good art style (conforming to the manga) and the voice actors definitely are doing it justice. If you haven’t read the manga and like to read manga The Promised Neverland is definitely a top choice.
Looking ahead it seems 2019 will be a fantastic year for anime as promising titles are steadily releasing. More anime such as The Rising Of The Shield Hero and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime are also releasing new episodes weekly and have left strong impressions.
